Easter Seals Alberta is seeking a Recruitment Specialist to support families and Family Managed Services Administrators in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining staff for individuals with disabilities. The role focuses on compliant HR practices and person-centered service delivery.

The position is 40 hours per week, primarily in office, with travel to events and outreach as needed. Benefits begin after three months, with RRSP matching and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting, onboarding, and retaining qualified staff to support individuals with disabilities.
• Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards, Human Rights legislation, OH&S, and HR best practices.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, families, or human services is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Family Managed Services, person-centered planning, and inclusive employment practices is an asset.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy legislation.
• Experience with recruitment-related tools, templates, and intake processes.

Responsabilités

• Support families and FMSAs throughout the recruitment process with consultation and best-practice guidance.
• Develop and post job advertisements across recruitment platforms and networks.
• Create recruitment strategies to attract candidates in rural, remote, and high-demand communities.
• Coordinate interviews and provide standardized tools and scoring matrices.
• Participate in interviews with families and FMSAs when requested.
• Assist with reference and background checks per legislation and policies.
• Provide onboarding guidance and resources to support employee integration.
• Develop orientation materials, onboarding checklists, and training plans.
• Assist with establishing clear role expectations and communication practices.
• Provide guidance on workplace accommodations and inclusive employment practices.
• Offer guidance on performance management and employee recognition.
• Collaborate with Family Resource Coordinators and Social Workers to align recruitment with service plans.
