Job summary

Oxford Learning Stoney Creek is looking for a Part-Time Elementary Teacher to work with students in reading, writing, math, and French. This role focuses on delivering pre-planned lessons, ensuring a fun and effective learning environment.

Part‑Time Elementary Teacher

Location: Oxford Learning Bayview Woods, 207-5915 Leslie Street, North York, Ontario, Canada. Applicants must reside within a short commute of the North York area.

Pay: $20.00–$22.00 per hour

Position Overview

As a Teacher‑Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math, and French and/or with High School students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. All lessons are pre‑planned, allowing you to focus on teaching.

Position Requirements

• Availability during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm)
• Commitment through to the end of the 2026‑27 school year (June 30), with possibility of continuing through summer
• In‑person role; must be able to commute to the location; relocation packages not available
• Vulnerable sector screening mandatory
• Resume must indicate residence within a short commute of North York area

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field
• Third‑year university students with tutoring experience considered
• Teaching certification in progress or obtained is an asset
• Good knowledge of K‑12 curriculum

Experience

• Some experience teaching/tutoring K‑12 or equivalent level
