Job description

Part‑time High School Math Teacher – Oxford Learning Bayview Woods, Toronto, Ontario.

Position: Part‑time, teaching hours 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Monday‑Friday, Saturdays 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. Flexible schedule and a commitment through June 2027 is preferred, with continued work into summer a plus. On‑site role at 207‑5915 Leslie Street, North York, ON. Commute within the North York area required.

Position Requirements

• Commitment to after‑school and evening hours as above, with limited Saturday duties.
• Must commute to the Leeds Street location; relocation packages not available.
• Vulnerable sector screening mandatory.

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Final‑year university students with tutoring experience may apply.
• Teaching certification an asset.
• Knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 math curriculum, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and vectors.

Experience and Skills

• Teaching or tutoring experience with grades 9‑12 math.
• Strong written and oral English communication skills.
• Strong mathematical ability and the capacity to guide students’ understanding.
• Ability to manage up to three students simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to three students at a time at different levels.
• Deliver instruction both in‑person and, where appropriate, online.
• Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Complete post‑lesson notes and daily student communication updates.
• Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times.
