Job summary

Oxford Learning Don Mills is seeking part-time Elementary and High School Teacher-Tutors for the 2026-2027 year. You will teach reading, writing, math and French to elementary students and calculus/physics/chemistry/biology/English to high schoolers.

All lessons are pre-planned and you will be trained in our proprietary methods.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
  • Third-year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Working towards or having a teaching certification is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Teach up to 4 students at a time.
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times.

Our hours count! Gain valuable teaching experience! Oxford Learning Don Mills is currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for roles in our learning centre for thecurrent school year (2026-2027). If you love working with students, enjoy teaching language skills, and want to help others build their academic confidence, this position is perfect for you.

Position Overview: As a Teacher-Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will have the opportunity to work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math and French and/or withHigh Schoolstudents inmath (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. Our Teacher-Tutors do not have to worry about lesson planning, as all lessons are pre-planned. You will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on what you do best – teaching!

Position Requirements

  • Availability during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
  • Commitmentthrough tothe end of the 2026-27 school year (June 30th), with thepossibilityofcontinuing through the summer.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Third-year university students with tutoring experience will be considered

Experience:

  • Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • The ability to teach French is also highly desired
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities:

As an Interactive Coach, you will:

  • Teach up to 4 students at a time
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour at all times (create a fun learning environment)

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $18 - $19.50/ hour

Schedule:

  • Monday toThursday (3 pm to 8 pm)
    • Availability of a few hours in between this range will still be considered
  • Saturday availability (9 am to 1 pm)
    • Saturday availability is an asset but not a requirement
