Position Type : Part-Time Support

Salary Range : 32.06-$38.51-Hourly

Scheduled Weekly Hours : 20 hours per week, within the timeframe of Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The specific schedule will be determined upon hiring.

Job Description :

Under the general direction of the Manager of Risk Management, the Contract Supervisor is responsible for reviewing contracts, making amendments to new and existing contracts, and ensuring that rights and responsibilities are clearly outlined and aligned with engagement requirements, considering a corporate risk perspective.

The incumbent will maintain knowledge of applicable legislative and regulatory requirements, College policies, and operational environment, providing contract administration advice and legal triage, and working towards improving the contracting framework by developing standard templates and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Development of New Contracts and Review of Existing Contracts: Drafting, reviewing, and amending contracts to ensure compliance with requirements, policies, and strategic goals. Assisting with negotiations and standardizing contract templates.
  • Contract Administration: Tracking contract statuses, managing the review and approval process, monitoring project and third-party relationships, conducting audits, and developing reports and training materials.
  • Contract Review and Approval Process: Managing document control, ensuring record accuracy, facilitating onboarding and training, and reporting on contract performance metrics.
Required Qualifications :
  • Minimum of a three-year diploma/degree.
  • Legal certifications such as Certified Paralegal, Legal Studies Certification, etc., considered an asset.
  • Detailed knowledge of contract law and experience contracting with government entities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and WordPress; business acumen including financial analysis skills.
  • Effective communication, public speaking, training ability, and capacity to manage multiple projects independently.
