Silver Hotel Group is seeking a Part-Time Assistant Cook at Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown. The role involves supporting restaurant and banquet service with high standards and teamwork in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years kitchen experience, basic to intermediate cooking skills, and a valid Food Handler Certification. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of kitchen experience, preferably in a hotel, banquet, or high-volume environment.
• Valid Food Handler Certification.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of cooking techniques (grilling, sautéing, roasting, baking) and knife skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items for restaurant and banquet service in accordance with BEOs, prep lists, and established quality standards.
• Support assigned kitchen stations during prep and service, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for efficient operation.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion controls, and plating guidelines to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
• Monitor food quality, including taste, temperature, freshness, and presentation, ensuring all items meet culinary standards.
