Silver Hotel Group's Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown is hiring a Full-Time Assistant Cook to join its busy kitchen. You will prepare and cook menu items for restaurant and banquet service, support stations, and follow recipes to ensure quality and consistency.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in hotel or high-volume kitchens, knowledge of cooking techniques, a valid Food Handler Certification, and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of kitchen experience in hotels, banquets, or high-volume venues.
  • Cooking techniques knowledge: grilling, sautéing, roasting, baking, plus knife skills.
  • Valid Food Handler Certification.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills with multitasking ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; flexible evenings, weekends, holidays; Canada work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items for restaurant and banquet service in accordance with BEOs, prep lists, and established quality standards.
  • Support assigned kitchen stations during prep and service, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for efficient operation.

  • Monitor food quality, including taste, temperature, freshness, and presentation, ensuring all items meet culinary standards.

Your Role
Reporting to the Executive Chef;

Radisson Blu Toronto Downtown is currently recruiting for aFull-Time Assistant Cook! In this role, you will:

  • Prepare and cook menu items for restaurant and banquet service in accordance with BEOs, prep lists, and established quality standards.

What You Bring to the Table
  • 1–3 years of kitchen experience, preferably in a hotel, banquet, or high-volume environment.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of cooking techniques (grilling, sautéing, roasting, baking) and knife skills.
  • Valid Food Handler Certification.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment with flexible availability (evenings, weekends, and holidays) and legal authorization to work in Canada.
