Job summary

Foremost in Stettler, Alberta, is seeking a Paint Prep associate reporting to the Paint Foreman to support preparation and application of high-grade finishes for the Hydrovac product line. You will work with minimal direction from written or verbal instructions and prepare surfaces for processing.

Responsibilities include masking and unmasking, using hand and power tools, maintaining equipment and shop cleanliness, and following safety and WHMIS regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must be reliable, punctual and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience is preferred but willing to train the right applicant.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to follow clear directions.
  • Safety training an asset but willing to train as required.

Description

Foremost has an immediate opening for a Paint Prep position reporting into the Paint Foreman in our Stettler facility, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation and application of high grade finishes for our Hydrovac product line.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with minimal direction to all written or verbal work instructions
  • Prepare the surface of raw or primed materials for further processing
  • Operate basic hand tools and job specific power tools related to paint prep activates
  • Mask and unmask as required for paint or coating applications
  • Care for and maintain all company owned equipment and facilities, including general housekeeping and continuous improvement activities
  • Performs all tasks related to their classification in accordance with safe work practices and applicable legislation
  • Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous chemicals
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

Note:

This position may be exposed to elements such as noise , dust, odors, fumes and oils. Working conditions include working at heights up to 14’ as well as confined areas.
