Foremost in Lloydminster is seeking a full-time Internal Spray Coating and polyurethane foam applicator to prepare, coat, spray foam insulate and paint internal and external surfaces of steel tanks and related components at our Lloydminster facility. You will follow approved procedures, inspect thickness, maintain equipment, and ensure safety and environmental compliance.

Candidates with 1 year of related coating experience and a readiness to work at heights and in confined spaces are encouraged

Qualifikationen

• 1 year minimum coating/painting experience on oil storage tanks.
• Experience with polyurethane spray foam coatings is an asset.
• NACE certification is an asset; Foremost provides training.
• Able to work at heights up to 40' and in confined spaces.
• Ability to read coating specifications and product data sheets.
• Reliability and safety-focused.

• Prepare internal & external steel surfaces and components for coating, including cleaning, masking, and stripe coating.
• Apply spray foam polyurethane coatings, resins, solvent drying paints, and linings according to approved procedures and product data sheets.
• Operate and maintain equipment associated with painting, coating, and spray foam insulating equipment.
• Conform to quality control standards, construction specifications and customer coating requirements.
• Check coating and spray foam thickness using appropriate gauges and tools, such as micrometers or calipers, to meet industrial standards.
• Inspect work for coverage, holidays, pinholes, runs, adhesion concerns and other coating and spray foam defects, and report or correct deficiencies as required.
• Record coating details such as material batches, environmental conditions, surface preparation results and inspection measurements as required.
• Follow Company safe work procedures, legislated safety requirements, confined space requirements and working-at-heights requirements.
• Comply with all WHMIS and environmental regulations regarding the storage, use and disposal of hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform other duties as assigned.

Description

Foremost has an immediate opening for a full-time Internal Spray Coating and polyurethane foam applicator located at our Lloydminster facility reporting to our Coatings Foreman. This position is responsible for preparing, coating, spray foam insulating and painting the internal & external surfaces of steel tanks vessels, tanks, ULC tanks, Bins etc. and related components while meeting Foremost quality, safety and customer specifications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of oil storage tank internal coating/painting, polyurethane spray foam or related industrial coating experience preferred.
• Spray foam painting experience is an asset; applicants with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail may be trained as required.
• NACE certification is considered an asset but foremost will train as required if needed.
• Working conditions include working at heights up to 40' + as well as working in confined spaces.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, coating specifications, safety procedures and product data sheets.
• Ability to use basic measuring and inspection tools and accurately document work completed.
• Safety training such as WHMIS, Confined Space, Fall Protection, First Aid, is an asset, but will train as required.
• Must be reliable, safety-focused, able to work independently or as part of a team and committed to quality workmanship.
