Foremost in Stettler is seeking an Industrial Painter/Coater to join our team. Training is provided for the right candidate, with focus on tank coating, polyurea, and topcoat finishes.

The role involves working in confined spaces, maintaining safety protocols, and delivering high-durability coatings to specifications. This day-shift position includes overtime opportunities, a collaborative team environment, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Prior industrial painting or spray-application experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Company provides training for the right candidate.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labour, work at heights, and operate in confined environments (tanks).
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Safety tickets such as CSTS, First Aid, or Confined Space Entry are beneficial, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coat internal tank surfaces safely within confined spaces.
• Learn to operate and maintain plural-component spray systems for thick-film polyurea and rockguard coatings.
• Apply high-quality industrial topcoats (epoxies, urethanes) using airless, conventional, and spray systems.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE; participate in hazard assessments.
• Use gauges and instruments to ensure manufacturer specifications are met.

Description

Foremost is seeking an Industrial Painter / Coater to join our team at our Stettler facility. While prior industrial coating experience is beneficial, it is not required, as we provide comprehensive, company-paid training for the right candidate. This role focuses on high-durability protection systems, including specialized confined space tank coating (no vessel work required), protective polyurea rockguard application, and precision top coating finishes.

Key Responsibilities

• Tank Coating & Lining: Prepare and coat internal tank surfaces safely within confined spaces.
• Polyurea & Rockguard Application :Learn to operate and maintain plural-component spray systems to apply thick-film polyurea and protective rockguard coatings.
• Surface Finishing: Apply high-quality industrial topcoats (epoxies, urethanes, to specification using airless, conventional, and spray systems.
• Safety & Compliance:Adhere strictly to all corporate safety protocols, participate in hazard assessments, and utilize proper respirators and PPE.
• Quality Control:Utilize wet/dry film thickness gauges and specialized instruments to ensure all manufacturer specifications are met.

Qualifications :

• Prior industrial painting, sandblasting, or spray-application experience is a strong asset but not mandatory.
• We will fully train candidates who possess a strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physically demanding manual labour, work at heights, and operate comfortably in confined environments (tanks).
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Prior safety tickets (such as CSTS, First Aid, or Confined Space Entry) are beneficial, though company-funded training will be provided
