Foremost has an immediate opening for a CNC Equipment Operator - Plate Roll Operator in Lloydminster, AB. The role forms materials, supports metalworking operations, and ensures safe, efficient shop flow. Reporting to the Metalworks Foreman, you will handle plate rolling, load handling, and crane operation in a busy shop.

The ideal candidate has experience with CNC plasma tables or plate rolls; training will be provided. Shift work may be required, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC plasma tables, brakes, and plate rolls is an asset; training provided for the right candidate.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safe lifting practices.
• Strong organization and time management in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Form materials by rolling shells of various thicknesses and diameters (24 in. – 144 in.).
• Assist operators within the Metal Working Department as required.
• Operate overhead cranes safely and per procedures.
• Follow standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Report discrepancies or issues to supervisor.
• Support general shop activities to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Perform other duties related to the role as assigned.

Description

Foremost has an immediate opening for a CNC Equipment Operator - Plate Roll Operator reporting into our Metalworks Foreman located at our facility in Lloydminster, AB. The CNC Equipment Operator - Plate Roll Operator is responsible for forming materials, supporting metal working operations, and contributing to the safe and efficient flow of work within the shop.

Responsibilities

• Form materials by rolling shells of various thicknesses and diameters ranging from 24 in. to 144 in., flanging heads, and performing related plate rolling duties.
• Assist operators within the Metal Working Department as required.
• Operate overhead cranes safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow current standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Report discrepancies, equipment concerns, or other issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Support general shop activities that improve workflow and department efficiency.
• Perform other duties related to the classification, as assigned.
• This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and productivity.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating CNC plasma tables, brakes, and steel plate rolls is considered an asset; however, training will be provided to the right candidate.
• Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of safe lifting practices.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Safety training is considered an asset; training will be provided as required.

This position is performed in a shop environment and may involve exposure to noise, dust, odours, fumes, and oils. Shift work may be required from time to time.
