Job summary

Rimrock Banff is seeking an Overnight Bellperson to be a calm, precise night-time presence ensuring seamless guest experiences. You’ll assist late arrivals, manage luggage and shuttle coordination, and coordinate with Night Audit and Housekeeping to maintain a smooth overnight handover.

The role requires an eye for detail, a quiet, professional demeanor, and Alberta Class 5 license with willingness to obtain Class 4 for shuttle duties. Start is September 2026.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in guest services, preferably in a luxury hotel.
  • Calm and professional under pressure, with a steady overnight presence.
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering work correctly the first time.
  • Alberta Class 5 license required; willingness to obtain Class 4 license (mandatory for shuttle operation).

Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome late-night arrivals and assist with luggage, valet, and room orientation.
  • Provide thoughtful service to early-morning departures, ensuring guests feel seen and supported.
  • Respond promptly and discreetly to overnight guest requests (transport, amenities, information).
  • Serve as a quiet ambassador of the property, maintaining a calm, reassuring presence overnight.
  • Perform regular checks of the lobby, driveway, and public areas.
  • Prepare the day's valet queue, shuttle schedule, and luggage storage.
  • Support overnight security presence by reporting unusual activity or safety concerns.
  • Assist with staging and preparing guest spaces for the next day's arrivals and departures.
  • Safely operate guest vehicles, hotel vehicles, and 20-passenger shuttle buses.
  • Collaborate with Night Audit, Maintenance and Housekeeping teams to ensure smooth overnight operations.

As an Overnight Bellperson, you are a steady presence in the stillness of night, creating ease and confidence for guests when they need it most. With a composed demeanor, attention to detail, and a deep sense of responsibility, you ensure every overnight interaction is seamless, professional, and quietly memorable.

Eligible for complimentary shared staff accommodation as a taxable benefit with this position.

What You’ll Be Doing
Guest Connection

Team & Culture
  • Collaborate with Night Audit, Maintenance and Housekeeping teams to ensure smooth overnight operations and a seamless transition into the day.
  • Work independently and reliably during quiet hours, maintaining consistency and professionalism throughout each shift.
  • Support team goals by preparing spaces, vehicles, and guest services for the day ahead.
What You Bring
  • Previous experience in guest services, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
  • Calm and professional under pressure, with a steady overnight presence
  • High attention to detail and pride in delivering work correctly the first time
  • Alberta Class 5 license required; willingness to obtain Class 4 license (mandatory for shuttle operation)
Bonus If You Bring
  • Experience operating passenger shuttles or luxury vehicles
  • Familiarity with Banff National Park and local area services
  • Background in handling ski or outdoor equipment

Physical Demands
  • Continuous walking and standing throughout shift
  • Lifting and moving luggage and gear (up to 50lbs)
  • Pushing/pulling luggage carts
  • Working indoors and outdoors in variable mountain weather
Visa Requirements
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
