Role Overview

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding Brenlo’s customer base and maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts. This role involves identifying sales opportunities, delivering excellent customer service, and collaborating with internal teams to meet client needs. A successful candidate will have a proactive sales approach, strong market knowledge, and effective communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, and telemarketing strategies.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.
  • Present Brenlo’s product range accurately, providing estimates and proposing alternative solutions to close sales.
  • Negotiate sales terms, confirm order specifications, and provide detailed information for final quotes.
  • Collaborate with production and logistics teams to align delivery timelines with customer expectations.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to order quality or delivery, coordinating with production and shipping teams.
  • Conduct follow-up visits to job sites when necessary to reinforce client satisfaction.
  • Represent Brenlo at trade shows, sales meetings, and industry events to support business growth and professional development.

Skills Required

  • Product Knowledge – Ability to represent Brenlo’s full product line accurately to customers.
  • Application Insight – Basic understanding of design to ensure that mouldings and other products align with customer needs.
  • Production Process Understanding – Familiarity with production scheduling and constraints to estimate delivery timelines.
  • Problem Solving – Ability to provide acceptable alternatives and solutions to close sales.
  • Communication – Effective in negotiating, persuading, and delivering clear, accurate information.
  • Customer Service – Responds promptly to challenges, providing a positive experience for customers.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Builds rapport and trust with clients, representing Brenlo with integrity.
  • Organizational Skills – Manages workload effectively, balancing prospecting with customer requests.

Measures of Success

  • Sales Growth – Revenue from existing accounts and new customer acquisition.
  • Prospecting – Number of new customer contacts and leads generated.
  • Closing Ratio – Percentage of sales closed versus lost.
  • Customer Satisfaction – Low rate of customer complaints and high satisfaction results.
  • Response Time – Timely resolution of customer issues and complaints.
  • Procedural Adherence – Consistency in following Brenlo’s operating and sales procedures.
  • Effective Communication – Clear, respectful, and timely communication with team members and customers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in outside sales or a similar role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills; bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is an asset.
  • Experience with telemarketing and business-to-business (B2B) sales.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools for managing customer relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and overcoming objections in the sales process.
