Job summary

Agile Bookkeeping in Vernon, BC, is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to help build Agile's outbound pipeline by creating SQLs for the designated seller. This is an entry-level role focused on thoughtful multi-channel outreach, confident cold calls, discovery, and strong qualification.

You will work with enriched target accounts, turning context into relevant conversations and handing qualified opportunities to the seller.

Qualifications

• No previous BDR title or B2B sales experience required; focus on communication and growth mindset.
• Curiosity, empathy, and the ability to build trust with business owners.
• Persistence, resilience, and energy to learn in a fast-moving environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable with daily outreach and CRM tools.

Responsibilities

• Create SQLs in new Canadian geographies via high-volume phone, email, LinkedIn, events and other outreach.
• Use enriched target-account data to craft relevant outreach without over-researching.
• Conduct confident cold calls, ask thoughtful questions about bookkeeping needs and timing.
• Explain Agile's value and tailor conversations to the prospect.
• Handle objections with curiosity and persistence; qualify and hand off to the designated seller.
• Book meetings, provide handoff notes, and ensure prospect attendance.
• Maintain accurate CRM data for activities, contacts, accounts, and SQLs.
• Review calls, apply coaching, and share feedback and market patterns with the team.
