Zusammenfassung

Inter-Canada Fisheries in Brampton, Ontario is seeking an Order Entry & Customer Service Coordinator to support the full order fulfillment process from receipt through delivery. This role requires accurate data entry, strong communication with customers, and close collaboration with Sales, Warehouse, Inventory and Logistics teams to resolve issues promptly.

Two full-time positions are offered with Shift 1 (5:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.) and Shift 2 (11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.), plus occasional Saturdays.

Qualifikationen

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in order entry, customer service, order management, logistics coordination or a related role preferred.
  • Experience in the food, seafood, distribution or wholesale industry is an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another ERP system is an asset.
  • Experience with Samsara or similar fleet/delivery management systems is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Excellent data-entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer-service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Aufgaben

  • Receive and process customer orders via phone, email, or approved channels.
  • Enter and maintain sales orders in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Review orders for accuracy, product availability, pricing, quantities, delivery requirements and other relevant information.
  • Provide customers with timely order confirmations and updates.
  • Coordinate the order fulfillment process from entry through shipment and delivery.
  • Communicate product shortages, back orders and estimated availability dates to customers.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Inventory teams regarding product availability.
  • Arrange delivery appointments and coordinate third-party logistics providers when required.
  • Provide professional, courteous and timely customer service by responding to inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, orders and delivery schedules.
  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding order changes, delays, substitutions, shortages and delivery updates.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns, including order discrepancies, returns and delivery-related issues.
  • Support Sales Representatives with customer orders, product inquiries and other customer-service requirements.
  • Create and maintain customer accounts and customer cards in Business Central.
  • Support e-commerce order processing and related customer-service activities.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse, Inventory, Sales, Drivers and Logistics teams to support accurate and timely deliveries.
  • Coordinate delivery requirements and appointments with customers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Support Samsara operations, including real-time delivery tracking and communication.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve delivery coordination, workflow efficiency and order visibility.
  • Monitor delivery-related issues and communicate relevant updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate customer, order and item information in Business Central.
  • Review item cards and related records to ensure information is accurate, complete and consistent.
  • Review and update customer-specific pricing as authorized and required.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to orders, customers and deliveries.
  • Assist with ERP-related processes and data accuracy as required.
  • Provide backup coverage for other Order Desk shifts when required and support team members during vacation or absence periods.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics, Finance and other departments to support smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Perform administrative duties related to the Order Desk and Customer Service functions.
  • Maintain organized records and filing, including sales documentation where required.
  • Perform other duties reasonably related to the position as assigned by management.

About Inter-Canada Fisheries

Inter-Canada Fisheries is a Canadian importer and distributor of fresh and frozen fish and seafood products. Our head office and main warehouse are located at 225 Orenda Road, Brampton, Ontario.

We are seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented and customer‑focused Order Entry & Customer Service Coordinator to join our team. This position plays an important role in supporting the complete order fulfillment process, from receiving and entering customer orders through coordinating inventory, shipments and deliveries.

The successful candidate will work closely with customers, Sales, Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics and Delivery teams to ensure orders are processed accurately, customer inquiries are handled promptly, and service issues are resolved effectively.

Work Schedule

We are hiring for two positions with the following shifts:

  • Shift 1: Monday to Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • Shift 2: Monday to Friday, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Alternate Saturdays: 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
  • Flexibility to provide backup coverage for other shifts may be required during vacations, absences and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Order Entry & Fulfillment
  • Receive and process customer orders, order changes, confirmations and cancellations received by phone, email or other approved channels.
  • Accurately enter and maintain sales orders in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
