Job summary

IRIS L'ASSOMPTION is seeking a Receptionist / Optometric assistant dedicated to patient care and efficient service. You will handle calls, greet patients, and manage appointment scheduling with a focus on accuracy and courtesy.

The role includes pre-testing, room setup, basic equipment care, and assisting doctors as needed. Strong English skills and teamwork are essential in our fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service.
• Ability to communicate with people.
• Comfortable taking and making phone calls.
• Good learning skills.
• High proficiency in English: fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Works well in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Answering phone calls, emails, taking correct information and answering all questions efficiently, collecting health information.
• Greet patients in a friendly, courteous way and schedule or cancel optical examinations and appointments.
• Invoicing and/or insurance payments from patients.
• Pre-testing patients, prepping exam rooms, cleaning and setting up equipment, and showing patients how to care for contact lenses, perform tests such as OCT and VF.
• Answer a high volume of calls and maintain a high pace level of work.
• Assisting the doctors when needed.
