Job summary

IRIS OUTREMONT is seeking a friendly Receptionist / Optometric Assistant to support patient care and operations in a fast-paced clinic. You will handle calls, greet patients, schedule eye exams, manage invoicing and insurance payments, and assist doctors as needed.

The ideal candidate has customer service experience, strong communication, and the ability to work well both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service.

• Comfortable taking and making phone calls.

Responsibilities

• Answering phone calls, emails, collecting health information.
• Greet patients and schedule or cancel optical exams and appointments.
• Invoicing and/or insurance payments from patients.
• Pre-testing patients, prepping exam rooms, cleaning and setting up equipment, and showing patients how to care for contact lenses.
• Answer a high volume of calls and maintain a high pace at work.
• Assisting the doctors when needed.
