Job summary

FYidoctors invites talented Optical Associates to join our Canmore and Banff clinics. You’ll greet patients, educate on eyewear, assist with frame selection, take measurements, and support billing and scheduling in a fast-paced environment. A background in optics or retail is welcomed; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

We offer competitive wages, excellent optical benefits, and ongoing training. This full-time position offers 30-40 hours per week with clinic hours Monday–Saturday.

Qualifications

• Optical or retail experience is an asset.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients in person, by phone, and by email.
• Educate patients on eyewear options and assist with frame selection.
• Interpret optical prescriptions from the optometrist.
• Take frame and facial measurements for proper fit; perform repairs and adjustments.
• Coordinate appointments and prepare prescription printouts.
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers, and third parties.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and positive patient experiences.
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required.
