FYidoctors Okotoks clinic is seeking an Optical Associate to join our team and deliver exceptional eyewear experiences in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

You will greet patients, help with frame selection, interpret prescriptions, take measurements, and assist with fittings and billing. A fast-paced clinic offers growth, ongoing training, and opportunities to earn bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• Previous optical or retail experience is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and patient-facing skills.
• Comfort with technology and computers, especially MS Office.
• Collaborative and proactive team player with growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients in person, by phone, and by email.
• Educate patients on eyewear options and assist with frame selection.
• Interpret optical prescriptions from the optometrist.
• Take frame and facial measurements and adjust eyewear.
• Coordinate appointments and print prescriptions.
• Handle billing and payments for patients and insurers.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and patient experience.
• Support clinic operations with additional duties as needed.
