Job summary

solis optics in Saskatoon is seeking an Optical Associate to join our retail team on Primrose Dr. Deliver outstanding customer experiences in a friendly, dynamic environment as we help customers choose eyewear and ensure quality and value.

You will greet customers, assist with fittings, manage appointments, process payments, and support store operations. Prior customer-facing or optical experience is a plus; MS Office proficiency is expected; full-time (30-40 hours) with Mon-Sat hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably retail.
• Optical experience is an asset.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with technology and computers, including MS Office.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative, adaptable team player; capable of managing changing priorities.

Responsibilities

We’re hiring to fill a current vacancy, join our team at Saskatoon - Primrose Dr - partners of solis optics, as an Optical Associate!

This position is a full-time role working30-40 hours per week. Our location is open Monday to Saturday.

What You'll Do

• Greet and welcome customers, manage customer check-in and check-out
• Engage with customers in person, by phone, and via email
• Coordinate appointments, prepare prescription printouts
• Educate customers on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, ensuring optimal value and quality
• Guide customers in selecting eyewear that combines style with optimal vision
• Support frame and facial measurements alongside an Optician, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear
• Assist with contact lens orders
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties
• Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure a positive customer experience
• Support store operations by performing additional duties as required

What You Bring

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a retail environment
• Previous optical experience is considered an asset
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with customers and providing exceptional experiences
• A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player, able to manage changing priorities effectively
