Job summary

Canada Cartage Group’s CommerceLink Logistics ULC division is hiring for local, overnight and weekend truck driving roles in Vaudreuil-Dorion. You will operate tractor trailers, perform safety inspections, complete documentation, and deliver to a major retail partner.

The position offers home daily shifts with overtime pay and a benefits package including dental, extended health care, life insurance, and employee assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and safety checks before, during, and after trips.
• Connect and disconnect semi-trailer hoses.
• Complete all applicable paperwork and maintain Driver Log.
• Communicate with Dispatch to coordinate deliveries.
• Establish positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Be able to perform physical work (lifting up to 50 lbs).
• Operate satellite tracking equipment and comply with regulations.

This position provides opportunity to be home daily while working overnight and weekend shifts. Drivers will be responsible for timely and secure local deliveries, completing vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing excellent customer service.

Position Summary

Operating tractor trailer equipped with multi-speed transmission (Automatic or Manual) safely by adhering to all safety requirements

Pay:CA$30.09 per hour

Location: Vaudreuil Yard, 2500 Henry Ford St., Vaudreuil, Quebec, J7V 3N7

What you'll do.

• Perform inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of tractor trailer unit before, during, and after trips, including gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel and air leaks
• Connect and disconnect semi-trailer hoses
• Completing all applicable paperwork. Maintain up-to-date Driver Log throughout the duration of each shift.
• Responsible for communicating with Dispatch.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
• Be able to perform physical work at times (lifting in excess of 50lbs)
• Use of satellite tracking equipment
• Observing and complying with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act

Minimum Qualifications.

• Age - 23 or older
• License - AZ / Class 1 Driver's License - 3 years driving experience
