CommerceLink Logistics ULC, a division of Canada Cartage, seeks an AZ/Class 1 driver for overnight local deliveries and weekend shifts. You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain logs, and provide courteous customer service.

This full-time role offers 48 hours per week, overtime, dental and extended health care, life insurance, and EAP. You must be 23+, with 3 years of commercial driving experience.

Qualifications

• Age 23 or older; AZ/Class 1 Driver's License.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting up to 50 lbs) and lift safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment.
• Connect and disconnect semi-trailer hoses; complete paperwork and keep Driver Log up to date.
• Communicate with Dispatch and maintain positive relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure timely local deliveries.
• Observe and comply with Ministry of Transportation rules and Highway Traffic Act.

This position provides opportunity to be home daily while working overnight and weekend shifts. Drivers will be responsible for timely and secure local deliveries, completing vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing excellent customer service.

Position Summary

Operating tractor trailer equipped with multi-speed transmission (Automatic or Manual) safely by adhering to all safety requirements

What you'll do.

Perform inspections of mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of tractor trailer unit before, during, and after trips, including gauges, lighting and electrical systems, and visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel and air leaks
Connect and disconnect semi-trailer hoses
Completing all applicable paperwork. Maintain up-to-date Driver Log throughout the duration of each shift.
Responsible for communicating with Dispatch.
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
Be able to perform physical work at times (lifting in excess of 50lbs)
Use of satellite tracking equipment
Observing and complying with rules and regulations of the Ministry of Transportation and the Highway Traffic Act
