Job summary

Transport Laberge is hiring drivers for its Maritime terminals in Halifax. Paid training at $23.59/hour with opportunities for long-haul routes and a signing bonus up to $5,000. Enjoy competitive benefits including 10 paid sick days per year and up to 70 hours per week.

Responsibilities include monitoring cargo, loading/unloading vehicles, logging transport data, and delivering excellent customer service. Valid Class 1 license and a strong safety record are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a recognized driving school or equivalent experience deemed sufficient.
• Experience in vehicle transportation (asset).
• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Long-haul driving experience (asset).
• Good driving record.
• Valid Class 1 driver's licence.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Comfortable performing physical work.

• Load and unload vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles during loading and unloading.
• Safely and proficiently operate your truck.
• Complete logbooks and required documentation.
