Job summary

Canada Cartage in Terrebonne, QC is seeking a safety-first Class 1 driver for local deliveries. You'll be home every night on local routes and earn up to $28.50 per hour, with full benefits. This full-time role requires a valid Class 1 license and at least 6 months of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle on local store delivery routes.

• Handle dock-to-dock deliveries or unload pallets with an electric pallet jack.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and follow safety regulations.
• Be flexible to work weekends if needed.

The Details:

Location (Dispatch): Terrebonne, QC — local deliveries.

Type: Full-time

Schedule & Start Times:

• Day Shift:Mon–Sat (5 days/week), startearly morning.
• Evening Shift:Mon–Fri, startearly afternoon.
• 8–10 hours/day

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle on local store delivery routes
• Deliver to retail and grocery locations across Greater Montreal and surrounding areas
• Handle dock-to-dock deliveries or unload pallets with an electric pallet jack (reefer or dry van)
• Perform precise backing maneuvers in tight spaces
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and follow all safety regulations
• (Evening shift: some waiting time during pickup)

What You Bring:

• Valid Class 1 license+6 months of driving experience
• Confidence in urban and highway driving, tight parking, and narrow loading docks
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
• A friendly, professional, customer-first attitude
• Clean driving record and background check
• Flexibility to work weekends if needed
