Job summary

Anthem Properties is seeking a maintenance-ready professional for Waneta Plaza, Trail, BC. The role involves indoor and outdoor year‑round work in a public space, with full-time or part-time options.

You will support custodial scheduling, respond to tenant requests, and perform routine repairs to keep common areas safe and well‑maintained. The position requires physical work, comfort with tools, and good communication.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work closely with custodial team to schedule shifts and complete tasks.
• Assist in on-site coordination of Landlord’s Work and Capital Projects.
• Document and report incidents and assist Property Manager in filing insurance reports.
• On-site vendor coordination.
• Assist with on-site event set ups.
• Perform minor carpentry, electrical, paint and plumbing repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Perform general site maintenance.
• Complete inspections of all assigned areas (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Ensure walkways are safe and clean (winter salting/shuffling).
• Maintain building supply inventories.
• Inspect fire, life safety, security and HVAC systems as applicable.

You will

• Assist in maintaining building supply inventories.
• Visual inspections and coordination of maintenance (if applicable) of all Fire & Life safety systems, security systems and HVAC systems.
• Filter and belts change.
• Weekly roof inspections.
• Respond to tenant and vendors service requests.
• Work directly with, and be directed by the Property Managers
• Maintain access control and key control system
• Participate in on-call rotation

You have

• Great skills working with the public
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• No problem working outdoors in a variety of weather - a good majority of our properties are open public spaces
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Proven maintenance experience
• Ability to use ladders, and have an opportunity to train for boom lift operation
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in similar roles

Workday

• The nature of the work is indoors and outdoors year-round work
• This role demands physical and manual labour in all types of weather conditions
• This position can be full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time.
