Job summary

Anthem Properties Group Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for Waneta Plaza in Trail, BC. The role involves interior and exterior upkeep, coordinating with custodial staff, and performing light carpentry, electrical, paint and plumbing repairs in varied weather.

You will inspect facilities, ensure safety, manage supply inventories, respond to service requests, and support on-call rotations. The position can be full-time (40 h/w) or part-time, with compensation of $30.00-$32.00 per

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks with the custodial team.
• Assist on-site with Landlord’s Work and Capital Projects.
• Document incidents and assist with insurance reports.
• Coordinate on-site vendors and assist with event setups.
• Perform minor carpentry, electrical, painting and plumbing repairs.
• Inspect walkways and maintain safe access; winter salting.
• Maintain building supply inventories.
• Respond to tenant and vendor service requests.

You will

• Work closely with custodial team, ensuring that shifts are scheduled and daily/weekly/monthly work is completed
• Assist in on-site coordination of Landlord’s Work, Capital Projects
• Document and report incidents and assist Property Manger in filing insurance reports.
• On-site vendor coordination
• Assist with on-site event set ups
• Perform minor carpentry, electrical, paint and plumbing repairs and preventative maintenance
• Perform general site maintenance
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly inspections of all assigned areas
• Ensure walkways are safe and clean. Sidewalks salting and shuffling (winter).
• Assist in maintaining building supply inventories.
• Visual inspections and coordination of maintenance (if applicable) of all Fire & Life safety systems, security systems and HVAC systems.
• Filter and belts change.
• Weekly roof inspections.
• Respond to tenant and vendors service requests.
• Work directly with, and be directed by the Property Managers
• Maintain access control and key control system
• Participate in on-call rotation

You have

• Great skills working with the public
• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
• No problem working outdoors in a variety of weather - a good majority of our properties are open public spaces
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Proven maintenance experience
• Ability to use ladders, and have an opportunity to train for boom lift operation
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in similar roles

Workday

• The nature of the work is indoors and outdoors year-round work
• This role demands physical and manual labour in all types of weather conditions
• This position can be full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time.

Compensation: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
