Job summary

TF Truckload & Logistics is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee daily trucking, yard and warehouse operations, ensuring safe, cost-effective movement of materials. This hands-on leadership role requires the ability to lead multiple teams and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will optimize fleet utilization, dispatch, routing, load planning, and KPIs such as on-time performance and inventory accuracy while collaborating with Safety, HR, Maintenance and Accounting to support

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in trucking, transportation, yard, or warehouse operations.
• Experience with pipe transportation and/or over-dimensional loads.
• General warehousing experience.
• Proven leadership experience supervising operational teams.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, fleet operations, and safety compliance.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), electronic logging devices (ELDs), and warehouse or inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing operational budgets and performance targets.
• Knowledge of SAP Materials Management (SAP MM) is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop drivers, dispatchers, yard personnel, and warehouse teams.
• Optimize fleet utilization, equipment availability, labour, and operational costs.

• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, hours-of-service requirements, and safety standards.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and operational readiness.
• Resolve operational challenges and customer service escalations.
• Monitor operational KPIs, including on-time performance, productivity, inventory accuracy, and cost control.
• Collaborate with Safety, HR, Maintenance, and Accounting to support business objectives.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, processes, and service delivery.
