Job summary

Save-On-Foods is hiring an Operations Manager in Squamish, BC. This full-time role leads the store team, drives customer-first service, and ensures health, safety, and food safety standards while optimizing merchandising and front-end operations.

You will support HR activities, coach staff, analyze performance metrics, and partner with management to boost sales, profitability, and customer loyalty in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience leading a store team.
• Food Safe Certification is required.
• Post-secondary business education is an asset.
• Experience in Fresh departments is an asset.
• Proficient with computer applications and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team, acting as coach, mentor, and resource.
• Deliver operational excellence in customer experience, safety, food safety, merchandising, and front-end operations.
• Assist with recruitment, training, performance management, rewards, succession planning, and HR administration.
• Communicate key messages to align the team with business objectives.
• Implement strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
• Review business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor performance.
• Support the Assistant Store Manager with income statements and profit targets.
• Support inventory and stocktaking across the store.
• Perform all duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in hot/cold environments.
