Save-On-Foods in Squamish, BC, is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to lead the store team and uphold world-class customer service standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2–4 years of retail experience, strong leadership, and a Food Safe certification. The successful candidate will oversee front-end operations, merchandising, and safety policies while driving sales and customer loyalty.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of retail experience.
• Leadership experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Certification.
• Post-secondary education in a business field is an asset.
• Experience with achieving sales targets, profitability, budgeting, merchandising, HR, scheduling, and safety policies.
• Proficiency with computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team and foster a positive, customer-first environment.
• Deliver operational excellence across customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising, and front-end operations.
• Provide cross-department support to maintain service and standards.
• Support team initiatives and communicate key messages to the team.
• Review business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor store performance.
• Assist in implementing strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
• Support center-of-store inventory and department stocktaking as required.
• Perform all duties including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in hot/cold environments.

We are hiring a Supervisor at our Save-On-Foods location in Squamish, BC.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, and the successful applicant must have open availability.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the store team, acting as a coach, mentor, and resource while fostering a positive team environment focused on Always Customer First service.
• Delivering operational excellence through customer experience, health and safety, food safety, merchandising, and front end operations.
• Providing support across departments as needed to maintain service and operational standards.
• Supporting with team member related initiatives as requested.
• Communicating key messages to the store team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Reviewing business/HR metrics and dashboards to monitor store performance.
• Supporting with implementing strategies to grow sales and customer loyalty.
• Supporting with centre of store inventory as well as department stocktaking as required.
• Performing all job duties throughout the store as needed, including lifting weight (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods of time, and working in hot/cold environments.

You have:

• 2-4 years of retail experience.
• Leadership experience is an asset.
• Food Safe Certification.
• A post-secondary education in a business related field is an asset.
• Experience and/or knowledge with:
  • Achieving sales targets and profitability.
  • Financial planning and budgeting.
  • Developing and executing merchandising plans.
  • Human Resources (e.g. recruitment, training, development and coaching).
  • Workforce planning and scheduling considerations.
  • Health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
