We’re seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a team of 6 direct reports overseeing 150+ staff at our London West, Acton Depot. This is a significant role managing over 90 daily delivery and collection routes, crucial to the success of our larger operations.
As the most senior manager at the depot, you’ll oversee the collection and delivery of 3-4 million parcels annually. Your responsibilities include ensuring smooth operations, managing manpower and resources, analyzing performance data, and leading process and customer service improvements. You will coach and mentor frontline managers to maximize performance and ensure high standards of customer service.
Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00, with some flexibility required to meet operational demands.
You are a natural leader and experienced manager who enjoys guiding teams through change. Building strong relationships with your team, unions, and stakeholders is important to you. You should be passionate, positive, proactive, and personable. Experience in express parcels and unionized environments is preferred, and a CPC qualification is desirable or you are interested in obtaining one.
