Manager, Learning Operations - Remote - Ontario

The opportunity

AsManager, Learning Operations, you will lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of our learning systems and processes to build a stronger, more inclusive learning culture. You will ensure the effective rollout and optimization of learning technologies, drive data-informed decision-making, and support the seamless delivery of learning programs that empower staff across the country. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Learning & Development, this position also includes people management responsibilities.

Essential Details and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Dayforce project implementation team to configure and launch the Dayforce Learning LMS
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and the long-term strategy of the Dayforce Learning LMS
  • Liaise with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless learning systems integration
  • Lead quality assurance and user experience testing for digital learning tools

Learning Delivery and Logistics

  • Coordinate learning calendars and virtual and in-person session logistics
  • Manage the webinar and virtual courses portfolio
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for learning delivery
  • Manage the learning logistics budget, including vendor contracts, invoices, and procurement requirements.
  • Manage registration, reporting, tracking and evaluation systems for all training events
  • Responsible for management of the Learning Coordinator position

Project and Operational Excellence

  • Support the execution of strategic learning initiatives, including leadership development, compliance training, and onboarding
  • Build and manage dashboards and data reports to support learning metrics and department annual plans.
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusion best practices are embedded in all learning operations and content delivery

Stakeholder Collaboration and Support

  • Act as a resource and coach for internal trainers and regional LMS administrators
  • Partner with subject matter experts, business matter experts, external vendors, and People & Culture colleagues to align learning operations with organizational priorities
  • Ensure that learning operations are responsive to the needs of staff working with people with disabilities

Experience, Education, Certifications

  • Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP)designation required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in learning and development, preferably in a nonprofit, health, or social services setting
  • Demonstrated experience managing the implementation and/or administration of a Learning Management System (LMS). Dayforce Learning LMS experience an asset.
  • Proven success in learning operations, project management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, accessibility standards, and instructional technology
  • Certificate in Education, Adult Learning, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field
  • Experience with virtual facilitation, e-Learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Rise), and data analytics platforms is an asset
  • Experience in instructional design using the ADDIE and SAM models
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • Written Communications – Is able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect.
  • Functional/Technical Skills – Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.
  • Creativity – Comes up with innovative ideas; easily makes connections among previously unrelated notions; tends to be seen as original and value-added in brainstorming settings.
  • Organizing – Can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently arranges information and files in a useful manner.
  • Planning – Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; sets objectives and goals; breaks down work into the process steps; develops schedules and task/people assignments; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks; measures performance against goals; evaluates results.
  • Team Player – Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to deliver results.
