Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Manager of Operational Excellence to lead a team of Analysts and RPA developers, enabling business through process improvement and automation. The role emphasizes mentorship, high-quality delivery, and alignment with company strategy.

Note: Term position for 12 months. The team supports member, broker and employee processes with Lean, Six Sigma and Agile methods, delivering measurable efficiencies and strategic value.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise-level process improvement experience using structured methodologies and project management skills.
• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or in progress.
• Led multiple enterprise-level strategic initiatives or projects.
• Experience driving transformative organizational change projects with tech implementation and improvements.
• Advanced experience in Agile practices, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Expert presentation creation and presenting skills.
• Strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in leadership activities focused on continuous improvement, strategic projects and initiatives.
• Provide guidance while evaluating and resolving business requests using lean methods.
• Establish and drive a continuous improvement culture in the organization.
• Lead execution of process automations, process mining and RPAs.
• Mentor process analysts to achieve goals.
• Identify and eliminate process waste; create improvement plans with sponsors.
• Build and manage relationships with business leaders; align with strategic priorities.
• Deliver presentations to multiple groups including executives.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics to measure change impact.
• Contribute to and manage the forecasted budget.
• Execute projects with Agile planning and removal of barriers.
• Lead change management strategies within projects/programs.
• Communicate with stakeholders to adjust priorities and maximize value.
• Liaise with Executives to ensure alignment with strategies.
• Develop roadmaps to secure resources and align to goals.
