Job summary

The Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst in Corporate Actuarial - Reserving. This hybrid, on-site role focuses on valuation analyses and regulatory reporting of reserves, delivering insights to stakeholders and advancing reserving techniques.

You will mentor actuarial analysts, drive automation, and collaborate across Canada with all hands on deck to strengthen financial reporting and risk insight.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
• Advanced knowledge of actuarial science, probability and statistics.
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and R, and Excel/Power BI; experience with Arius is a plus.
• Strong communication, mentorship, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality valuation analyses and financial/regulatory reporting of actuarial reserves.
• Develop insights from analyses and communicate to stakeholders.
• Drive automation and enhancements to reserving techniques and reporting.
• Mentor and coach actuarial analysts on complex problems.
