  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
  • Communicate between departments and maintain records.
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required.
  • Coordinate meetings, lunches, and internal activities.
  • Assist managers with operations projects.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Location: St. Catharines, Ontario Salary: $55,000–$62,000/year ($28.21–$31.79/hour) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you an organized, people-focused professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment?

Our client is a well-established manufacturer specializing in innovative, sustainable paper, packaging, and tissue products. We are currently seeking an Operations Coordinator to join their St. Catharines manufacturing facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative or operations professional who wants to play an important role in supporting production, HR, safety, maintenance, and mill operations.

You will work closely with managers and employees across the facility, helping ensure schedules, employee records, timekeeping, training documentation, and day-to-day administrative requirements are handled accurately and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Mill and Production Managers.
  • Assist with employee training coordination, training materials, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development.
  • Prepare and issue weekly crew schedules in coordination with HR and Production Management and ensure schedules are posted throughout the facility.
  • Maintain and reconcile the hourly employee time-off tracker prior to payroll processing.
  • Provide administrative support to Safety, Operations, Maintenance, and Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) teams.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure personnel documentation and compliance records are kept up to date.
  • Serve as an important point of contact between departments, ensuring information is communicated effectively and records are maintained.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation as required.
  • Coordinate meetings, lunches, and other internal activities.
  • Assist managers with various operational and administrative projects.
  • Take on additional responsibilities and projects as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in an operations, manufacturing, production, or administrative environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with schedules, employee records, and timekeeping information.
  • Comfortable communicating and working with employees and management at various levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. PowerPoint experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
  • Professional, approachable, and solutions-oriented attitude.

The Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based within a busy manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will occasionally be required to enter production, shipping, and warehouse areas.

The environment may include exposure to:

  • Industrial production areas

The ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safely navigate the facility, including stairs, is required.
