Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee and optimize production across day, afternoon, and night rotations, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to GMP/AIB standards.

You will conduct shift briefings, manage schedules and staffing, lead root cause analysis, monitor production data, and drive continuous improvement with Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma principles. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary technical education or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Food Safety industry standards.
• Experience with Flexo printing is an asset.
• Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma principles is an asset.
• Strong time and change management with reliability.
• Collaborative leadership and good communication.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production to meet quality, safety and policy standards.

• Prepare and stage work orders and materials for next 24 hours.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor attendance and conduct performance reviews.
• Enforce discipline and compliance with policies.

• Assign personnel to operate equipment as needed.
• Coordinate press approvals/trials with key personnel.

Job Description

• Monthly rotation (1 month days, 1 month afternoons, 1 month nights)
• Oversee and ensure the efficient production of products while meeting company standards of quality, safety, and operational policies
• Maintain adherence to GMP / AIB, Health and Safety Standards, and company regulations
• Monitor and optimize manufacturing processes to maximize operational efficiency
• Conduct shift meetings to review departmental performance against production, health and safety, AIB, and scheduling criteria
• Ensure timely preparation and staging of work orders and materials for upcoming 24 hours
• Maintain adherence to manufacturing schedules, promptly addressing any deviations
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis with corrective actions and follow through on implementing the actions required
• Monitor employee attendance and performance, conducting semi-annual reviews and monthly team meetings
• Enforce discipline and compliance with company policies
• Monitor and uphold the integrity of production data
• Assign production personnel to operate equipment based on production needs
• Coordinate press approvals / trials with key personnel
• Ensure completion of all necessary production documentation
• Demonstrate and uphold company core values
• Supervise manufacturing personnel to uphold safety, quality, and productivity standards
• Identify and propose enhancements to facilities, equipment, and procedures for improved safety, quality, and efficiency
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Post secondary technical education asset ; will consider experience equivalent
• 5 yrs+ supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with Food Safety industry standards
• Experience with Flexo printing process an asset
• Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma principles an asset
• Strong time and change management skills with a reputation for punctuality and reliability
