Job summary

TekWissen Group in Montreal is seeking an Operations Analyst to support USD/CAD clearing activities within Client Support Services. The role covers issue investigation, proactive monitoring, analytics, and client liaison, with a focus on accurate reporting and KPIs.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of banking experience in payments, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Excel/Word. This 6-month onsite assignment includes training day shifts followed by a night shift rotation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate issues and problems related to payments.
• Proactive monitoring and support to USD clearing client base.

• Serve as main contact point for the network and resolve issues related to USD/CAD clearing.

Shift Timings: Training begins with Day Shift Monday-Friday between 9am-6pm for training and the switch over after 3 months to night shift from Sunday/Thursday and work between 9:30pm-6:30am.

The position at a glance

• The USD Clearing & Payment middle office function is performed by Client Support Services (CSS), which is a group reporting into Payment & Clearing Solutions (PCS).
• CSS is responsible for the management of Risks, Client reporting and analytics as well as supporting Network Clearing North America (NCNA) and Product Management by ensuring full transparency of limits, funding and operations bookings.

Core Responsibilities

• Investigate issues and problems related to payments.
• Proactive monitoring and support to US dollar clearing client base.
• Credit, funding and transaction limit management and oversight.
• Managing Client's reporting and analytics.
• Act as liaison between the back office and client/front office as applicable.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact point for the network and help resolve all issues related to the USD/CAD clearing business.
• Support the overall day-to-day business relationships ofclient Network USD and CAD Network Clearing Clients at an account level.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders in the business as required.
• Drive processing efficiency by improving the overall USD straight-through-processing rate over 95% at the client level.
• Drive customer satisfaction by working closely with clients to improve the service provided to them.
• Escalate service level inquiries as appropriate.
• Oversee key control processes with respect to billing, risk and management reporting at client level.
• Hold regular ongoing dialogue with NCNA, PCS, and other stakeholders to ensure an excellent level of service to the network.
• Review and analyze reports related to client activities including wire transfers and non-payment SWIFT messages.
• Recommend and monitor KPIs, ensuring SLAs and turnaround times are being achieved.
• Make recommendations for procedural changes where deemed necessary.
• Analyze various control reports and make recommendations for efficiency gains.
• Keep abreast of reporting and operational changes to meet and enhance client demands.
• Interpret, manipulate, and analyze data to produce meaningful dashboards with a focus on improving client experience.
• Work closely with development teams to create and implement quality management reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand available data and maximize its value for client requirements.
• Provide additional insights into trends through analysis of patterns within various datasets.
• Investigate issues, determine root causes, and obtain resolution.
• Assist in preparation of Monthly and Quarterly Dashboards/Cockpits.
• Make direct contributions toclient's operational permanent control framework.

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed

• Knowledge of English is required.
• 2 to 4 years of banking experience in Correspondent Banking, Payment Operations, and/or Cash Management Product within a major bank active in USD Clearing.
• Knowledge of international wire transfers, SWIFT, and local clearing systems.
• Knowledge of funds transfer operations and the rules and regulations governing them.
• Highly effective communicator, both written and verbal, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical reporting background with proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of data and report analysis.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a high-volume, fast-paced environment while maintaining precision.
• Ability to work in a highly autonomous team environment with minimal supervision.
