Job summary

Insight Global in Canada is seeking an Operations Analyst to support the Real Time Rail payment system initiative at Bank of Montreal. The role involves actively participating in the system's implementation and launch and overseeing daily cash flow operations across Global Middle Office, Front Office, and Corporate Treasury.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of the payments industry, SWIFT/MX messaging, and strong Excel skills, with the ability to manage liquidity across currencies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the implementation and launch of the Real Time Rail payment system in Canada.
• Oversee daily cash flow operations for Bank of Montreal entities and provide data analysis to Global Middle Office, Front Office, and Treasury.
• Ensure intra-day and end-of-day liquidity across currencies and bank accounts; monitor and consolidate cash flows and report final position to Traders.
• Provide consistent service and support as escalation point for business product challenges while managing risk and controls.

Insight global is looking for a operations analyst for the Real Time Rail payment system initiative in Canada at Bank of Montreal.

The Individual will:

• Be an active participant in the implementation and launch of the Real Time Rail payment system in Canada
• Oversee the daily cash flow operations for various BMO entities, providing support and data analysis to Global Middle Office, Front Office, Corporate Treasury, and other operations teams within Global Markets
• Ensure that all BMO entities maintains adequate intra-day and end-of-day liquidity to meet regulatory and risk standards, across various currencies and LYNX/Nostro/Vostro bank accounts
• Monitor and consolidate cash flows in and out of the bank, and report the bank’s final position to the Traders (Front Office) for investment/borrowing purposes
• Provide consistent and effective service and support to internal business partners (“customers”) as a key escalation point for business product challenges/investigations while ensuring effective management of risk and controls

Skills and Requirements

• Solid knowledge of standard desktop applications used by the business unit (i.e Microsoft Office; Internet Explorer, Microsoft Excel)
• Strong knowledge of the payments industry
• Strong knowledge of the payments industry (eg. SWIFT network, MX messaging)
• Knowledge and experience with the LYNX payment system, an understanding of Canadian dollar cash flow payments, how Canadian banks interact with Bank of Canada, and experience participating in financial services industry initiatives would be considered an asset.
