Job summary

EPITEC is seeking a Payment Operations Analyst in Montreal to support USD and CAD clearing operations. You will handle payment issues, analyze transaction data, monitor KPIs, and work with internal teams to deliver an exceptional client experience in a fast-paced banking environment.

The role requires 2–4 years of banking experience, expertise in international wire transfers and SWIFT, and strong Excel skills. On-site, 6-month contract with potential extension, Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of banking experience (correspondent banking, payment operations, cash management, or USD clearing).
• Knowledge of international wire transfers, SWIFT messaging, and local clearing systems.
• Understanding of funds transfer operations and applicable rules/regulations.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and operational metrics.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to investigate complex issues and drive to resolution.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key point of contact for USD and CAD clearing operations.
• Investigate payment and transaction issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution.
• Support day-to-day relationships with clearing clients at the account level.
• Monitor client activity, funding, credit, and transaction limits.
• Review wire transfers, SWIFT messages, and operational reports.
• Track KPIs, SLAs, turnaround times, and processing performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve straight-through processing and efficiency.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and insights.
• Prepare and support monthly and quarterly dashboards and management reporting.
• Support control processes related to billing, risk, and client-level reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams to enhance reporting capabilities.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance client experience.
• Escalate service-level issues when needed.
• Contribute to operational controls and risk-management activities.

The Opportunity

Epitec is seeking a Payment Operations Analyst with banking, payments, or cash management experience to support USD and CAD clearing operations in Montreal.

This role is a strong fit for someone who understands payment operations, international wire transfers, SWIFT messaging, and client support within a fast-paced banking environment. You’ll investigate payment issues, analyze transaction and reporting data, monitor service levels, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver an excellent client experience.

What We’re Looking For
