Job summary

Air Transat at Montréal-Trudeau International Airport is seeking an Operations agent to coordinate flights and related activities with airport stakeholders to ensure on-time performance and smooth operations.

You will plan, communicate, direct and control activities for Air Transat flights at YUL, interface with service providers and authorities, manage irregular operations, and maintain detailed operation reports.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 years of experience in airport operations preferred.
  • Autonomy, resourcefulness and professionalism essential.
  • Strong communication skills in French and English.
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze operational needs.
  • Very strong knowledge of aviation facets is required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operations with airport stakeholders at YUL.
  • Plan, coordinate, communicate, direct and control flight activities.
  • Interact with service providers, government agencies and authorities.
  • Monitor and coordinate gate assignments and load plans.
  • Transmit flight messages and manage radio communications (UHF/VHF).
  • Handle phone calls and emails; maintain logs and reports.
  • Manage irregular operations (delays, diversions, cancellations).
  • Codify delays and complete operations reports.
  • Follow up on operations to ensure on-time performance.

Job Description

The operations agent will be responsible for coordinating operations with various stakeholders at the airport.

  • Plan, coordinate, communicate, direct and control activities related to Air Transat flights at YUL;
  • Interact with various service providers, government agencies and airport authorities;
  • Monitor and coordinate gate assignment;
  • Validation of load plans;
  • Consult and transmit flight messages (MVT, DPM, LDM…);
  • UHF and VHF communication;
  • Answer telephone calls;
  • Answer emails;
  • Management of irregular situations (delays, diversions, flight cancellations…);
  • Codify delays;
  • Complete operations reports;
  • Follow-up of operations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • 3 years of experience (ideally in the field of airport operations);
  • Possess a sense of autonomy and resourcefulness;
  • Professionalism;
  • Have good communication skills;
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze operational needs;
  • A very high knowledge of all facets of aviation;
  • Knowledge of computer systems (AIMS and ALTEA) an asset;
  • Be able to work under pressure;
  • Be able to multitask;
  • Oral and written mastery of French and English *

*A good command of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will have to communicate frequently in English, orally and in writing, with colleagues, clients or other stakeholders, both in Quebec and internationally.
