Job summary

Altis seeks a Construction Project Coordinator to support a major transit infrastructure project on-site in Vaughan, Ontario. You will help keep activities organized, documented and moving forward while collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and municipal stakeholders.

This hands-on role involves preparing daily reports, managing permits and safety documentation, coordinating meetings and tracking progress with a focus on safety, accuracy and timely execution.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Construction Project Coordinator or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture or related discipline.
• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required.
• Experience supporting major transit or complex infrastructure projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong coordination, documentation, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including night shifts, as project needs require.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily project reports covering labour, equipment, progress and site documentation.
• Onboard subcontractors, coordinate safety documentation, site meetings and mobilization, and track daily progress.
• Manage permits, licences, approvals and agreements, including applications and coordination with municipal stakeholders.
• Track extra work, prepare time and material summaries, verify invoices and support change‑order documentation.
• Support schedule updates, develop site work plans and maintain accurate progress and completion information.
• Coordinate utility and rail locates, site orientations, meeting agendas, minutes and crew timecards.
• Deliver daily safety briefings and help resolve site issues or conflicts as they arise.
