Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada seeks a Casual Mental Health Support Worker for Waterston Centre to supervise residents and ensure safety in a residential setting. You’ll support the team, assist in reintegration efforts, and help with community engagement and wellbeing initiatives.

Responsibilities include crisis management, documentation, and coordination with health professionals. Prior education in social services and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school is required.
• Post-secondary diploma in Social Service Work or Mental Health & Addictions is an asset.
• CPR First Aid (C) and ASIST training are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents and maintain safety and security in the facility.
• Provide support to help residents reintegrate into the community.
• Document progress and report to Health Care Worker or Caseworker.
