Job summary

Connexa Group in Fort McMurray, AB is seeking an Oilfield Survey Assistant to support field crews on wellsites and pipelines across Western Canada. You will set up and maintain GPS and survey equipment, collect data and assist your party chief while traveling on rotations up to 21 days.

You bring a high school diploma, a willingness to learn, and comfort working outdoors in varied conditions. Certifications in First Aid, H2S Alive or CSTS and a valid Class 5 license are preferred, along with a

• Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests when required.

We’re looking for an Oilfield Survey Assistant in Fort McMurray, AB to join one of our energy survey crews. Ideally, you have some oilfield or survey experience and want to grow and learn with an innovative, forward-thinking company.

The Work:

• Support your party chief on oilfield survey projects, including wellsites and pipelines, across Western Canada
• Set up, use and look after GPS and other survey equipment
• Collect survey data and help with other field tasks as directed by your party chief
• Communicate clearly with trades, coworkers and clients on site
• Follow safety protocols and help keep the work site safe
• Work outdoors in all seasons and weather, including remote locations
• Travel for field rotations of up to 21 days

What you bring to the table:

• A high school diploma and an interest in the geomatics industry
• Post-secondary geomatics education is an asset
• Familiarity with the work of a survey crew
• Experience working outdoors in bush conditions and on industrial or oilfield sites
• Current First Aid, H2S Alive or CSTS certification (or equivalent)
• A valid Class 5 driver’s licence
• Experience riding ATVs and snowmobiles
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test when required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
