Connexa Group (formerly CORE Geomatics) is seeking an Oilfield Survey Party Chief in Fort McMurray, AB to lead one of our energy survey crews. The role requires oilfield survey leadership, knowledge of Alberta Township System surveys, and the ability to work remotely in field rotations.

Ideal candidates will have a geomatics diploma or degree, strong communication, and experience on industrial sites. Drone experience is a plus, and safety is a top priority for the team.

Qualifications

• A geomatics diploma or degree from a technical college.
• Experience leading an oilfield survey crew.
• Experience with legal surveys in the Alberta Township System.
• Experience on industrial construction sites and in remote bush conditions.
• Drone experience is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveys of wellsites, pipeline rights-of-way, pipeline integrity and construction projects across Western Canada.
• Mentor and guide survey assistants on your crew.
• Keep clear, accurate field notes, records and calculations.
• Follow safety protocols and set the standard for your crew.
• Work outdoors in all seasons and weather, including remote locations.
• Travel for field rotations of up to 21 days.

The Work:

• Lead surveys of wellsites, pipeline rights-of-way, pipeline integrity and construction projects across Western Canada


• Mentor and guide survey assistants on your crew


• Keep clear, accurate field notes, records and calculations
