Job summary

Cenovus is seeking a Central Control Room Operator for the West White Rose offshore platform, offshore Newfoundland and Labrador. The role requires 5–10 years in upstream oil and gas, with offshore experience preferred, and involves 12-hour shifts on a 3 weeks on/3 weeks off rotation.

You will monitor CCSS, ICSS, fire & gas, ESD, and support systems, ensuring safe, continual operation and adherence to safety procedures. Travel offshore as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of distributed control systems and safety systems.
• Experience with offshore operations and process safety.
• Ability to work in high-stakes, safety-sensitive environments.

Responsibilities

• Control room operating duties and monitoring of subsea systems.
• Ensure permit to work and other work control processes are followed.
• Maintain daily shift logbooks and monitor emergency shutdown systems.
• Coordinate with processing and utility facilities for safe operation.
• Lead responses during abnormal or emergency conditions.
