About this opportunity

The Senior Facility Engineer is responsible for providing technical oversight and engineering support for facility, civil, and structural systems on the SeaRose FPSO and WWR Platform. This role will ensure operational integrity, support maintenance and upgrades, and drive improvements across facility-related infrastructure. This position is a full-time, permanent position, located at our St. John’s office with occasional travel offshore.

What you’ll do

Act as Discipline Responsible Engineer (DRE) and System Coordinator for civil, structural, and facility systems, including WWR CGS and platform structures. Support day-to-day operations by providing engineering expertise to Maintenance, Marine and Drilling teams, focusing on utilities and support systems. Lead and manage facility-related modifications through the Cenovus Management of Change (MOC) process, including design input, construction oversight, and commissioning. Serve as Safety Critical Coordinator for assigned Safety Critical Elements related to Searose FPSO & WWR Platform. Contribute to annual turnaround planning, procurement efforts, and the development and revision of technical documentation. Ensure all assigned system actions are tracked and closed in Intelex and ATMS, and maintain alignment with COIMS for design, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Who you are

Legally authorized to work in Canada
Bachelor of Engineering in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred
Member in good standing or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland & Labrador (PEGNL)
Minimum 8 years experience within the oil and gas industry
In-depth knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry, and Regulatory & Certifying Authority regulations, codes & standards
Experience with Hazards and Operability Studies (HAZOPs), Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) & Risk Assessments

This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to offshore pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening, a CAPP medical and BST/HUEBA testing.
You must be able to travel via helicopter and boat.
This position requires the successful candidate travel offshore, there you will be required to obtain and maintain medical clearance and obtain all required training necessary for offshore travel.
This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to pre-placement Fitness for Work assessments, which includes drug and alcohol screening, a medical and driver’s abstract review.
