Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Administrator to join our growing Logistics Company in Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day administrative duties, and ensuring the accurate handling of Bills of Lading (BOLs) and other transportation documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accounting Duties:
    • Collaborate with a team of accounting technicians processing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice generation and payment tracking.
    • Address queries from accounting technicians, customers, vendors, or internal teams for accurate coding in the accounting system.
  2. Administrative Duties:
    • Handle driver paperwork, records, and compliance documentation.
    • Provide general office support, including answering calls and emails.
    • Manage and organize company files, documentation, and correspondence.
  3. Transportation Documentation:
    • Accurately process and verify Bills of Lading (BOLs).
    • Work with dispatch and drivers to ensure timely collection and submission of BOLs.
    • Assist with tracking shipments and verifying delivery details.
Qualifications:
  1. Diploma or degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; CPA designates are welcome.
  2. Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or admin role, preferably in trucking or logistics.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software.
  4. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Knowledge of Alberta transportation regulations is an asset.
