Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an Ocean Freight Pricing Specialist in Mississauga (YYZ) to manage and optimize bi-weekly and monthly rate cards for Trans-Pacific Eastbound and Transatlantic lanes. You will prepare competitive spot quotations, analyze profitability, and collaborate with Sales, Product, Procurement, and Operations to drive revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean freight pricing, freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of Trans-Pacifc Eastbound (TPEB) and Transatlantic trade lanes.
• Excellent analytical and commercial decision-making skills.
• Ability to balance competitiveness, profitability, and strategic account objectives.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in pricing analysis tools and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain monthly and bi-weekly rate cards for TPEB and Transatlantic trade lanes.
• Monitor market trends, carrier rate movements, and industry changes to keep pricing competitive.
• Review and update pricing strategies based on market conditions and business objectives.
• Analyze profitability and margin performance to support revenue growth.
• Prepare and issue accurate and timely spot quotations for ocean freight opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Procurement, and Operations to develop pricing strategies for key accounts.
• Engage with customers to understand their supply chain requirements and service expectations.
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, tools, and reporting methodologies.
