Job Description
The Regina Area requires generalists (Permanent and Locum) in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with a subspecialty interest, to join our collegial department.
The successful candidate will join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Regina, Saskatchewan, establish a community fee-for-service practice, and be appointed faculty with the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine. The physician will provide ambulatory and surgical care for women, participate in both the obstetrics and gynecology call rotas, and participate in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. Specialists maintain a fee-for-service, independent practice. Call coverage is shared within a supportive call group, with an on-call premium provided for availability. A city-wide pooled referral system supports the successful candidate in establishing their practice.
Obstetrical & Gynecological services are based at Regina General Hospital, which handles approximately 4,000 deliveries annually, with around 3,000 deliveries managed by the in-house obstetrics call group. The hospital is supported by a full range of neonatal, pediatric, medical, and surgical specialists.
The operating theatres are state-of-the-art for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, with a minimum of one day per month allocated to gynecologic surgeons. The Women’s Health Centre offers outpatient procedures like hysteroscopy and colposcopy, with access to procedure rooms based on the candidate’s scope of practice.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is committed to learning and partners with the University of Saskatchewan to support medical education. Regina is a key site for the university’s Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program.

Job Qualifications
The successful candidate must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Obstetrics and Gynecology and eligible for licensure through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS). Preference is given to those with additional subspecialty training.
The candidate should be a team player, able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff, and management, and capable of functioning well in a high-volume environment with a focus on high-quality, patient-centered care.
