Job summary

CI Financial is seeking a Mid-Level Observability Engineer to build, maintain, and enhance enterprise monitoring across cloud and hybrid environments. You will work hands‑on with Dynatrace and AWS CloudWatch, develop dashboards, tune alerts, and instrument systems for reliable operation.

You will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and application teams to improve visibility, expand monitoring coverage, and embed observability practices into delivery workflows.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Observability, Monitoring, DevOps, Systems Engineering, or SRE‑related roles.
• Hands‑on experience with Dynatrace, including deployment, configuration, dashboarding, alerting, and basic APM support.
• Working knowledge of AWS infrastructure and monitoring concepts, especially CloudWatch and common cloud services used in enterprise environments.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell for monitoring operations and platform support tasks.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for basic infrastructure and configuration deployment.
• Understanding of observability fundamentals, including metrics, logs, traces, alerting, the golden signals, and structured logging practices.
• Good understanding of modern application environments such as microservices, container platforms, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring & Platform Operations across hybrid environments.
• Assist in implementing centralized observability using Dynatrace and AWS CloudWatch.
• Deploy, configure, and support Dynatrace OneAgent across hybrid infrastructure.
• Onboard applications and infrastructure into monitoring platforms for visibility.
• Create and tune dashboards, alert configurations, and notebooks.
• Support incident triage and root cause analysis with Dynatrace features.
• Contribute to automation of monitoring deployment via scripting and IaC.
