Job summary

A high-tech consultancy company in Montreal is seeking an experienced engineer to join their Observability fleet. This role focuses on developing and modernizing observability platforms for cloud-native and hybrid applications, collaborating closely with software developers and infrastructure teams. Responsibilities include building and integrating observability tools, automating telemetry solutions, and mentoring client teams. The ideal candidate has a solid background in cloud services, container technologies, and observability tools, with a strong focus on best practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Observability, Logging, and Monitoring.
• Experience with telemetry, logging, and monitoring solutions.
• Skilled in configuring dashboards, alerts, and alarms.

Responsibilities

• Build and support observability tools in cloud offerings.
• Design, implement, and automate telemetry and monitoring solutions.
• Mentor teams and participate in on-call activities.

Skills

Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google)

5+ years in Observability, Logging, and Monitoring

Hands-on experience with observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus)

Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Proficiency in scripting for automation (Python, Bash)

Proficiency with Linux operating systems

Experience integrating tools with CI/CD pipelines
